Day 1

JULY 6 Home – Calgary

Arrive in Calgary. Take the hotel shuttle to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight in Calgary.

Day 2

JULY 7  Calgary – Lake Louise – Banff

Transfer to Banff in the morning and embark on a scenic road trip of breathtaking Banff National Park along the Bow Valley Parkway, between the iconic mountain resort towns Banff and Lake Louise. Marvel at glorious Moraine Lake with a panoramic view of the Valley of the Ten Peaks. Then stroll along the picturesque shores of Lake Louise, crowned as the ‘Jewel of the Rockies’. Tonight, perhaps explore the dining scene in Banff with a wide choice of western saloons, English pubs, and international restaurants. Overnight in Banff.

Day 3

JULY 8 Banff

Marvel at the unparalleled mountain scenery as you explore the wondrous Banff National Park, named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This morning, hike along the Johnston Canyon to Lower Falls. Visit Bow Falls. Afterward, return to Banff for lunch on your own and afternoon at leisure.

You may join the optional Sulphur Mountain tour with dinner (CAD$105) this afternoon. Here you ascend by gondola to the summit of Sulphur Mountain experiencing stunning views at every turn of six mountain ranges and the village below. Truly an exhilarating experience! Then, at your leisure, walk along the boardwalk of the Observation Deck (weather permitting), or shop for gifts. Overnight in Banff.

Day 4

JULY 9 Banff – Icefield – Jasper

Today’s highlight is a jaw-dropping road trip to Jasper National Park. Be prepared to take in the world’s most scenic glaciers, lakes, and mountain peaks as we traverse the Icefields Parkway, passing by subalpine forests on the way to the immense Columbia Icefield. Here, embark on a glacier adventure ride aboard the massive Ice Explorer snow coach onto the surface of Athabasca Glacier, and experience an exhilarating cliffedge Glacier

Skywalk (optional CAD$45).

Next is a quick stop at the powerful waterfall of Athabasca Falls before heading into the beautiful alpine town of Jasper. Overnight in Jasper.

Day 5

JULY 10 Jasper

Drive up the valley to see Medicine Lake, which exists only during the summer months when melting glaciers bring water into the valley.

(Optional) Take a cruise to world-famous Spirit Island on Maligne Lake, the heart of Jasper National Park. See the tranquil blue color of this glacier formed and fed lake during this calming wilderness experience.

Then, on to majestic Maligne Canyon to learn about the unique features of this underground system. Time to walk along the canyon’s trails with breathtaking views of waterfalls and unusual rock formations. Return to Jasper, the turn-of-the-century railroad town. Overnight in Jasper

Day 6

JULY 11 Jasper – Calgary

After breakfast, travel along the Icefield Parkway and picturesque road back to Calgary. Check-in at the hotel and enjoy your free time afterward.

JULY 12 Calgary

Free day for Calgary Stampede. Transportation is not included to the Stampede.
